Activity Tracking — Travel
Quantified Map turns your activity, the places you visit, your workouts, and your photo locations into a personal map and a day by day timeline. Maps are generated on your iPhone or iPad.
On the App Store since April 28, 2017. Designed and published by Ludovic Landry.
This page describes Quantified Map 4.3.0, coming soon. The App Store currently offers version 4.2.0 (iOS 13 or later; English, French, German, Italian and Chinese).
A photo library, a workout log, check ins, and an old export each keep a fragment of where you went. Quantified Map brings the places you visit and the journeys between them onto one map, with a timeline of every day beside it.

Each day lists the places you stopped and the journeys between them, with times, distances, and your photos. You can write a note for the day, correct a place name, or change an activity type.
There is no account. Maps are generated on the device. To name a place, the app sends its coordinates to Apple Maps, and to Foursquare only if you turn that option on.
Turn on Quantified Tracking and the app records places and travel in the background. Pause it for an hour or for four hours, and open Tracking Health for the recording state and accuracy.
Import workouts from Apple Health, activities from Strava, check ins from Swarm, photo locations, GPX files, and Moves backups. Every source is optional, and Source Status shows what was refreshed. You can also add a location to photos that have none.
A map of where you went. A timeline of the day.
Step 1
Bring in Apple Health, Strava, Swarm, photos, a GPX file, or a Moves backup. You can also start with none of them.
Step 2
Turn on Quantified Tracking to record new places and journeys in the background, or leave it off. Pause it for an hour or for four hours whenever you want a gap.
Step 3
Open a map for a day, a week, a month, or a custom period, and a timeline for any date. A sunburst shows how your time splits across activities and places. Weekly and monthly workout cards add up your distances, with daily steps from Apple Health.
The welcome screen names these three steps. Test captures of the version in development, October 2026, in English.
