About Quantified Map

Quantified Map is an iPhone and iPad app designed and built by Ludovic Landry, an independent developer. It has been on the App Store since April 2017.

Why it exists

Your location history is personal. Quantified Map gives it one private place: a map and a day-by-day timeline that live on your own device. When the Moves app shut down in 2018, Quantified Map kept importing Moves backups so that history was not lost, and it records new days with its own tracking.

How it works

The app records the places you visit and how you travel between them, if you turn tracking on, and can import workouts, check-ins, photo locations, GPX files and Moves backups. Maps and timelines are built on the device. The privacy policy explains what is sent to which service, and why.
